(Isaiah 29:6)
“Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with an earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.”
Let Jerusalem know that outward religious services will not make men free from judgements. Hypocrites never can please God, nor make their peace with him. God had often and long, by a host of angels, encamped round about Jerusalem for protection and deliverance; but now he fought against it. Proud looks and proud language shall be brought down by humbling providences.
The falls of the wise and good into sin, and the falls of the rich and great into trouble, are loud alarms to those every way their inferiors. It is sad with a people, when those who should be as shepherds to them, are as young lions.
“OUR PRAYER!”
Father, through our unwavering faith, we bow before your throne to place our sincere gratitude for all you have provided as sustenance for our families. We thank you, Lord, for deepening our faith and filling us with your wisdom to renounce the world. Bringing us the strength to demonstrate your love and compassion, that all might recognize your support. We ask you, Lord, for blessings to all who are doing your bidding in this walk of faith. This we pray in your name, Yeshua, Amen, and Amen.
The world we live in is a world of disappointment, a vale of tears; the children of men in it are but of few days, and full of trouble, See the power of God’s curse, how it makes all empty, and lays waste all ranks and conditions.
