1 Timothy 1:5-6 NKJV
Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith, [6] from which some, having strayed, have turned aside to idle talk
Whatever tends to weaken love to God, or love to the brethren, tends to defeat the end of the commandment. The design of the gospel is answered when sinners, through repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ, are brought to exercise Christian love. And as believers were righteous persons in God’s appointed way, the law was not against them. But unless we are made righteous by faith in Christ, really repenting and forsaking sin, we are yet under the curse of the law, even according to the gospel of the blessed God, and are unfit to share the holy happiness of heaven.
OUR PRAYER!
Heavenly Father, our petition is for those who have strayed from the flock. Remove the scales of delusion so your light and truth will be seen. Bring them closer to your bosom Father that you might wrap your wings around them to nurture and comfort them so they might feel your love. Remove the false teachings from their minds. Lord, release your wisdom into their lives through the Holy Spirit. Bring them to an understanding they have strayed and are not lost but wandering, and if they receive your light and word, they will again find the path to life and eternity. Release your Love and compassion unto them, Lord. This we pray in your name, Yeshua. Amen and Amen.
