I have received a question in regards to how many individuals follow my postings, and it did at first make me ponder. I then placed it in prayer because honestly I have no idea how many do follow or where they might reside. This individual challenged my statement that my ministry is a global one which touches every continent and country withn them. How can I claim this without having thousands of followers declared?
I pondered this challenge and placed the question before the Lord, asking for an appropriate answer. The Holy Spirit revealed the following: as you look out upon the Lord’s creation, you see a pond and a pebble which he is about to toss into the pond in the Lord’s hand. Once he tosses the pebble, it creates ripples which move toward the shoreline. You see the ripple increasing in circumference covering a more significant area as it proceeds to grow.
What significance does that pebble play in the answer received? The Holy Spirit revealed I am the pebble and the message I will be delivering becomes the ripple going out, and as it does those who hear the message become pebbles and create ripples throughout reaching many others as they move forward touching all the different continents and the countries within. Thus the Lord’s message is now spreading as it was meant to be freely and with Love.
It is now becoming clear why we cannot contain our Lord in a cathedral or seminary or building of any sort. We should not measure the success of a ministry by the visible numbers of its congregation as we are not able to see or count the souls being touched by that ripple spreading out over the pond, we are not able to see how many others become pebbles being tossed into ponds causing further ripples.
My answer to the challenge is simple as long as I can reach one individual who might reach out to another individual who in turn reaches out to another individual. I am creating ripples throughout God’s pond we call our world, thus my ministry is global and touches every continent and country within. Do I know how many hear the message, this I address with a question, do you spread the Lord’s word to be seen or do you spread the Lord’s word to be heard and lived?
