Our current society is fixated on receiving gratification instantly. This thought process has infiltrated our Assemblies. This form of mindset becomes a deep weapon for Satan, drawing many into a situation where they depend on physical attributions rather than spiritual teachings from the Holy Spirit. Fast-tracking our spiritual beliefs is dangerous as it opens up the Assembly to deceptions and false teachings.
The question here is, “What happens to an individual who is born again? Does Scripture teach, the new birth includes automatic expulsion of demons? (Ephesians 2:1-3) clearly teaches all human beings are under the influence of the evil one, and his influence over mankind is exercised by evil spirits. We all were in this condition.
But in the new birth, the infant believer has his sins forgiven. Our spirit, formerly dead in trespasses and sin, is made alive by the spirit of God. We now begin to have the power to overcome the very things which enslaved us. But nowhere does Scripture or experience teach the new birth automatically eliminates demonic influence or bondage, or all of the carryovers of the old man such as tempers, moods, lusts, envyings, selfishness, prejudice, naming a few.
Here is the caution of attempting to shortcut Salvation. A born-again believer must learn to work out his Salvation, deny himself and die daily, and walk in the spirit lest fulfilling the lusts of his flesh. Growing up in Yeshua (Christ) is usually painful, though the result is glorious. The saddest part usually is discovering certain areas in which we have been deceived.
OUR PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we kneel before your throne petitioning for your precious Grace to wash over us as your goodness and favour knowing you are not a respecter of men. Increase our position through faith measured in our hearts, strengthening our new life in the soul. As a living soul, we plead for your knowledge to live a life of holiness now being born of you, Lord. We honour your removal of the guilt of sin through your pardoning and justifying grace, making us bright lights of your goodness as examples of receiving your grace and mercy, revealing the converting and saving of sinners, encouraging others to hope in his grace not as work by men. Lest we boast but let our demonstration of faith and conversion of our eternal salvation be what they see. This we pray in your name, Yeshua Amen and Amen.
