Matthew 18:4 KJV
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Greetings may our Father in heaven and Yeshua bless all with their Grace, and Peace. I desire to share an offering from Pastor Bob Woodward. As God works in mysterious ways Pastor Woodward acknowledges we need to prepare not only physically, but as well spiritually. “Good morning from Branson Mo. The temperature is 71 and the forecast high is 95. … A short time ago we had the prepers and we had the people who scoffed at the prepers, now it seems that prepping is not such a bad idea. We have become more concerned with prepping for the body than taking care of our souls. … Father as the dilemma around us grows draw us back to the understanding that all resources are in your hands. Father this morning we are thankful for your love 💘 and provision both of the spiritual and the physical. Bless us to put you first, above the needs of our bodies, we choose to walk in fellowship with you ❤ Amen ❤
I believe the following is our Lord’s answer and description of the preparation and transition many will make in the very near future as the fulfillment of prophecy takes place and as children we are weaned from the comforts and luxuries of the world we now walk in.
Our future condition will not be to our liking, so we must bring our thoughts to our condition; then we will be gentle with ourselves and those with us; when our souls become as a weaned child.
We will understand our hearts are desirous of worldly things, cry for them, and are fond of them; but, by the grace of God, a soul that is made holy, is weaned from these things.
As that child we will be cross and fretful while in the weaning; but in a day or two that child cares no longer for spiritual milk, and can bear stronger food. Thus does a converted soul quiet itself under the loss of what it loved, and disappointments in what it hoped for, and is easy to accept what our Lord is prepared to deliver through faith.
Knowing through our audit the depth of our faith and personal relationship with Yeshua, we now with understanding, knowledge and wisdom, know Yeshua will sustain us. Remember we have a hedge of protection around us our home and our family. Psalm 91:1-16.
Little do men know for what purposes the Lord leaves some to change their situations, or engage in undertakings, perhaps from evil motives. Had not the Lord overruled some of our ungodly projects, we may reflect upon cases, in which our destruction must have been sure.
The doctrine of grace and salvation by the gospel, is for all ranks and conditions of men. It teaches to forsake sin; to have no more to do with it. An earthly, sensual conversation suits not a heavenly calling. It teaches to make conscience of that which is good. We must look to God in Christ, as the object of our hope and worship.
A gospel conversation must be a godly conversation. See our duty in a very few words; denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, living soberly, righteously, and godly, notwithstanding all snares, temptations, corrupt examples, ill usage, and what remains of sin in the believer’s heart, with all their hinderances.
It teaches to look for the glories of another world. At, and in, the glorious appearing of Christ, the blessed hope of Christians will be complete: To bring us to holiness and happiness was the end of Christ’s death. Jesus Christ, that great God and our Saviour, who saves not only as God, much less as Man alone; but as God-man, two natures in one person. He loved us, and gave himself for us; and what can we do less than love and give up ourselves to him!
