Proverbs 15:31-32 KJV
The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. [32] He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
I ponder our days and ask if the actions of our world not being different from those of Noah who spoke warnings of what was to come. Both by actions and verbally.
It appears those walking in similar conditions as those in Noah’s time, as well today are not receiving the warnings of God’s messengers, God is placing in their Assemblies and amongst the Ecclesia?
Faithful and friendly reproofs help spiritual life, accepting reproofs leads to eternal life. Because sinners undervalue their souls, they prefer the gratifications of the body over their consciousness of Gods laws, and willingly sin to preserve and please the body.
The fear of the Lord encourages searching the Scriptures with reverence; and causing the following of the Holy Spirit’s teachings and guidance. To Humbly place all our dependence on the grace of God, we become exalted.
Fools are persons having no true wisdom, follow their own devices, without regard to reason, or reverence for God.
Gods Children, are reasonable individuals, and when we instruct them, they must know why and there are consequences for their decisions and actions. As they can be loose and self willed, the instruction must include sound guidelines consequences and boundaries.
The guidelines and boundaries must include Divine truths and commands displaying virtue honour and virtue; providing value, to be easily entreated as our lifes foundation and path. To fear God, and keep his commandments, is the whole of man.
The fear of God includes in it all the affections of the soul towards him, which are produced by the Holy Spirits teachings and guidance. The depth of our knowledge about our Father in heaven determines the level of our revence and personal relationship with God and Yeshua.
Terror may exist where there is no love, and, where there is only hatred. But our gracious fear of God, is different, this fear of God, are the feelings of an affectionate child.
Now, it becomes easy to do what Yeshua is instructing, to maintain and present our Walk As Children of Light, now having this knowledge understanding and spiritual wisdom.
The works of darkness are unfruitful, whatever profit they may boast; for they end in the destruction of the impenitent sinner. There are many ways of abetting, or taking part in the sins of others; by commendation, counsel, consent, or concealment. And if we share with others in their sins, we must expect to share in their sicknesses and plagues.
If we do not reprove the sins of others, we have fellowship and communion with them. A good man will be ashamed to speak of what many wicked men are not ashamed to do.
We must not only have a sight and knowledge that sin is sin, and in many measures shameful, and regarded as a breach of God’s holy law decreasing our heart reverence for God.
Satan ruined himself by desiring to be like the Most High, therefore he sought to infect our first parents with the same desire, that he might ruin them too. And still the devil draws people into his interest, by suggesting to them hard thoughts of God, and false hopes of advantage by sin.
Let us, therefore, always think well of God as the best good, and think ill of sin as the worst evil: thus let us resist the devil, and he will flee from us.
