“HARD CONDITIONS SHARPEN THE SPIRIT!”

Colossians 2:1
[1]For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;

There are thoughts which enter your mind being convalescent. Time can become God’s tool to discern or the enemies tool, in planting seeds of doubt and despair. Time will measure the depth of your Faith, relationship, and trust in Yeshau and Yahuwah our Father in heaven.

When a believer enters the role of leadership or as a protector of Yeshua’s flock (in my case a Watchman, Ezekiel 33.) you become the dot in the bullseye of Satan’s target. As your position is to, as Yeshua reveals Satan’s plans, provide warnings for the flock, so they being forewarned, have a choice to hear or ignore, which is theirs to choose.

Satan is going to do everything he can to prevent you from completing your mission or commitment in service.

As I have previously mentioned Satan being a legalistic will use our ignorance to God’s laws against us, with a high success rate these days.

His attacks are aimed at breaking down our Faith, and trust in God’s promises. Because God works in His time line we are many times subjected to trials and tribulations attacking the very foundation of our faith, relationship and trust with Yeshua and Yahuwah.

Colossians 2:2-3
[2]That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
[3]In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

The soul prospers when we have clear knowledge of the truth as it is in Jesus. When we not only believe with the heart, but are ready, when called, to make confession with the mouth.

Knowledge and faith make a soul rich. The stronger our faith, and the warmer our love, the more will our comfort be.

The treasures of wisdom are hid, not from us, but for us, in Christ. These were hid from proud unbelievers, but displayed in the person and redemption of Christ.

See the danger of enticing words; how many are ruined by the false disguises and fair appearances of evil principles and wicked practices! Be aware and afraid of those who would entice to any evil; for they aim to spoil you.

All Christians have, in profession at least, received Jesus Christ the Lord, consented to him, and taken him for theirs.

We cannot be built up in Christ, or grow in him, unless we are first rooted in him, or founded upon him. Being established in the faith, we must abound therein, and improve in it more and more. God justly withdraws this benefit from those who do not receive it with thanksgiving; and gratitude for his mercies is justly required by God.

2 Corinthians 1:6
[6]And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

We are encouraged to come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The Lord is able to give peace to the troubled conscience, and to calm the raging passions of the soul. These blessings are given by him, as the Father of his redeemed family. It is our Saviour who says, Let not your heart be troubled.

All comforts come from God, and our sweetest comforts are in him. He speaks peace to souls by granting the free remission of sins; and he comforts them by the enlivening influences of the Holy Spirit, and by the rich mercies of his grace. He is able to bind up the broken-hearted, to heal the most painful wounds, and also to give hope and joy under the heaviest sorrows. The favours God bestows on us, are not only to make us cheerful, but also that we may be useful to others.

1 Corinthians 1:24-25
[24]But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
[25]Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

Christ crucified is the foundation of all our hopes, the fountain of all our joys. And by his death we live. The preaching of salvation for lost sinners by the sufferings and death of the Son of God, if explained and faithfully applied, appears foolishness to those in the way to destruction.

The sensual, the covetous, the proud, and ambitious, alike see that the gospel opposes their favourite pursuits. But those who receive the gospel, and are enlightened by the Spirit of God, see more of God’s wisdom and power in the doctrine of Christ crucified, than in all his other works. God left a great part of the world to follow the dictates of man’s boasted reason, and the event has shown that human wisdom is folly, and is unable to find or retain the knowledge of God as the Creator.

It pleased him, by the foolishness of preaching, to save them that believe. By the foolishness of preaching; not by what could justly be called foolish preaching. But the thing preached was foolishness to wordly-wise men. The gospel ever was, and ever will be, foolishness to all in the road to destruction.

The message of Christ, plainly delivered, ever has been a sure touchstone by which men may learn what road they are travelling. But the despised doctrine of salvation by faith in a crucified Saviour, God in human nature, purchasing the church with his own blood, to save multitudes, even all that believe, from ignorance, delusion, and vice, has been blessed in every age. And the weakest instruments God uses, are stronger in their effects, than the strongest men can use.

Not that there is foolishness or weakness in God, but what men consider as such, overcomes all their admired wisdom and strength.

The Christian profession does not consist in a notional knowledge or a bare assent, much less in perverse disputings, but in obedience. And all those, and those only, are brought to obedience of the faith, who are effectually called of Jesus Christ.

Here is, 1. The privilege of Christians; they are beloved of God, and are members of that body which is beloved

2. The duty of Christians; to be holy, hereunto are they called, called to be saints. These the apostle saluted, by wishing them grace to sanctify their souls, and peace to comfort their hearts, as springing from the free mercy of God, the reconciled Father of all believers, and coming to them through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ was to serve all generations. May we look to Him who is declared to be the Son of God by his resurrection from the dead, that by faith in him we may walk with God, and serve our generation according to his will; and when death comes, may we fall asleep in him, with a joyful hope of a blessed resurrection.

May our Father in heaven and Yeshua bless you with their Grace Mercy and Peace! Robert a humbled servant of Yeshua and His Father in heaven, Yahuwah. Amen.
