Today I received the following message meant to be encouraging and to dispell any fear, “God is our refuge and strength.” As a Watchman I was shown the statement is right on, however it lacked important information.
He that by faith chooses God for his protector, shall find all in him that he needs or can desire. And those who have found the comfort of making the Lord their refuge, cannot but desire that others may do so. The spiritual life is protected by Divine grace from the temptations of Satan, which are as the snares of the fowler, and from the contagion of sin, which is a noisome pestilence. Great security is promised to believers in the midst of danger. Wisdom shall keep them from being afraid without cause, and faith shall keep them from being unduly afraid. Whatever is done, our heavenly Father’s will is done; and we have no reason to fear. God’s people shall see, not only God’s promises fulfilled, but his threatenings. Then let sinners come unto the Lord upon his mercy-seat, through the Redeemer’s name; and encourage others to trust in him also.
The following quote” Let this warning that seducers would rise in the Christian world, keep us from being seduced. The church knows not well who are its true members, and who are not, but thus true Christians were proved and rendered more watchful and humble.” from this link https://romboughrobert.wordpress.com/2022/04/07/darkness-is-falling-deception-will-reign-2/
reveals the seriousness which must be taken now and the days ahead. Life is not going to be as it was and continues to appear. As believers we must now be aware of our surroundings and who is in them. Still waters, cover the depth of the pool. Do not assume anything these days, as we are taught in Luke 21:15 KJV
For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. We also know and discern where this wisdom emanates from as shown in James 3:17-18 KJV
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. [18] And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
We will see the world walking in a cloud of confusion, filled with despair, anxiety, and deep fear, as well a form of paranoia never before felt or demonstrated.
Those walking with the Lord will externally sense and recognize all the turmoil, and fear within people; however will know an internal peace without any fear as shown in 2 Timothy 1:7 KJV
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
The warning to the Ecclesia and Assemblies. Do not take our current and future times and surroundings, for granted, using the discernment provided by the Holy Spirit; recognize Satan is filling the world with many deceptions. They are being placed before those in the world including believers.
Luke 21:8 KJV
And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them.
Christ tells what hard things should be suffered for his name’s sake, and encourages them to bear up under their trials, and to go on in their work, notwithstanding the opposition we will meet with. God will stand by you, and own you, and assist you. This was remarkably fulfilled after the pouring out of the Spirit, by whom Christ gave his disciples wisdom and utterance.
Though we may be losers for Christ, we shall not, we cannot be losers by him, in the end. It is our duty and interest at all times, especially in perilous, trying times, to secure the safety of our own souls.
It is by Christian patience we keep possession of our own souls, and keep out all those impressions which would put us out of temper. We may view the prophecy before us much as those Old Testament prophecies, which, together with their great object, embrace, or glance at some nearer object of importance to the church.
Ephesians 5:6-8
[6]Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
[7]Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
[8]For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
Filthy lusts must be rooted out. These sins must be dreaded and detested. Here are not only cautions against gross acts of sin, but against what some may make light of. But these things are so far from being profitable that they pollute and poison the hearers. Our cheerfulness should show itself as becomes Christians, in what may tend to God’s glory. A covetous man makes a god of his money; places that hope, confidence, and delight, in worldly good, which should be in God only. Those who allow themselves, either in the lusts of the flesh or the love of the world, belong not to the kingdom of grace, nor shall they come to the kingdom of glory. When the vilest transgressors repent and believe the gospel, they become children of obedience, from whom God’s wrath is turned away. Dare we make light of that which brings down the wrath of God? Sinners, like men in the dark, are going they know not whither, and doing they know not what. But the grace of God wrought a mighty change in the souls of many. Walk as children of light, as having knowledge and holiness. These works of darkness are unfruitful, whatever profit they may boast; for they end in the destruction of the impenitent sinner. There are many ways of abetting, or taking part in the sins of others; by commendation, counsel, consent, or concealment. And if we share with others in their sins, we must expect to share in their plagues. If we do not reprove the sins of others, we have fellowship with them. A good man will be ashamed to speak of what many wicked men are not ashamed to do. We must have not only a sight and a knowledge that sin is sin, and in some measure shameful, but see it as a breach of God’s holy law. After the example of prophets and apostles, we should call on those asleep and dead in sin, to awake and arise, that Christ may give them light.
