“HAVE YOU LET GO OF LIFE’S RUDDER?” “WHY ARE YOU STILL STEERING YOUR LIFE?”

Someone queried how I was, my reply was being in the hands of God’s angels and having them looking over me (Psalm 91:11-12), life could not be better. Even during these times of deep trials and tribulations (Psalm 91:13).

Then they inquired about what was I doing today? My reply, praying and meditating in preparation for what the Holy Spirit would present for this day (Psalm 91:14)! Waiting for God’s leading through the Holy Spirit (91:15-16).

Whether most realize or desire to accept, when we step through the doorway which Yeshua presents as our way into Salvation, as you step through it you become one of Yeshua’s disciples having answered His gentle call “follow me“.

A true disciple of Christ is one that does follow him in duty and shall follow him to glory. He is one that walks in the same way Christ walked in, is led by his Spirit, and treads in his steps, whithersoever he goes “Let him deny himself” If self-denial is a hard lesson, it is no more than what our Master learned and practised, to redeem us, and to teach us “Let him take up his cross” The cross is here put for every trouble that befalls us.

We are apt to think we could bear another’s cross better than our own, but that is best which is appointed us, and we ought to make the best of it. We must not by our rashness and folly pull crosses down upon our own heads, but must take them up when they are in our way.

If any man will have the name and credit of a disciple, let him follow Christ in the work and duty of a disciple. If all worldly things are worthless when compared with the life of the body, how forcible is the same argument with respect to the soul and its state of never-ending happiness or misery!

Thousands lose their souls for the most trifling gain, or the most worthless indulgence, no, often from mere sloth and negligence. Whatever is the object for which men forsake Christ, that is the price at which Satan buys their souls. Yet one soul is worth more than all the world.

This is Christ’s judgment upon the matter; he knew the price of souls, for he redeemed them; nor would he underrate the world, for he made it.

The dying transgressor cannot purchase one hour’s respite to seek mercy for his perishing soul. Let us then learn rightly to value our souls, and Christ as the only Saviour of them.

Again I ask of those, who bask in the light of Yeshua, how is it most refuse to let go of life’s rudder and allow Yeshua to guide them through this life in order to be in His Father’s presence?

The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom, set up in the heart by the power of Divine grace.

Observe how it is with sinners, and in what state the judgments of God, which we are warned of, are found with them. Here it is shown what a dreadful surprise this destruction will be to the secure and sensual. Thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

John 12:26
[26] If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

In attendance upon holy ordinances, particularly the gospel Passover, the great desire of our souls should be to see Jesus; to see him as ours, to keep up communion with him, and derive grace from him.

Christianity does not forbid, and grace does not do away our natural affections. Yet we must not be excessive in our sorrows; this is too much like those who have no hope of a better life. Death is an unknown thing, and we know little about the state after death; yet the doctrines of the resurrection and the second coming of Christ, are a remedy against the fear of death, and undue sorrow for the death of our Christian friends; and of these doctrines we have full assurance.

It will be some happiness that all the saints shall meet, and remain together forever; but the principal happiness of heaven is to be with the Lord, to see him, live with him, and enjoy him forever.

We should support one another in times of sorrow; not deaden one another’s spirits, or weaken one another’s hands. And this may be done by the many lessons to be learned from the resurrection of the dead, and the second coming of Christ. What, comfort a man, by telling him he is going to appear before the judgment seat of God! Who can feel comfort from those words?

That man alone with whose spirit the Spirit of God bears witness that his sins are blotted out, and the thoughts of whose heart are purified by the Holy Spirit, so that he can love God, and worthily magnify his name. We are not in a safe state unless it is thus with us, or we are desiring to be so.

In today’s vernacular the bottom line is get out of the driver’s seat and let the Son of God steer you onto His narrow path which leads to an Eternal life with His Father and Him.

Remember, a humble servant gives these messages who is obedient unto our Lord Yeshua as a Watchman.

This I pray for all. ”Our Heavenly Father brings us to the river which bringeth forth fruit so we may partake of its sustenance and be filled spiritually with nurturing wisdom, and humble dedication in service to Yeshua. “Blessings to All.” As you go forward in peace, knowledge, and strength.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Robert

Ask not, How many shall be saved? But, Shall I be one of them? Not, What shall become of such and such? But, What shall I do, and what will become of me?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
