2 Peter 2:1
[1]But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
Times are today for those in the world, socially turned upside down, when it comes to finding the truth.
Over the seasons the Ecclesia has garnered untroubled times, bringing forward the possibility of the following becoming a supposed righteous walk in the minds of the Ecclesia and the Assemblies of God.
Is it possible you might find a high level of self satisfaction within individuals and as a result a drop in the acceptance of Holy Spirit provided teachings and support. Now we understand why the necessity for a daily assessment of our walk, commitment, and relationship with Yeshua and testing of all Spirits constantly. The Lord has just shown us things are not as they appear, those within are not as they offer, know who is in the den with you and what they are willing to do to survive.
And then a possibility of an unawareness of the evil which is/has crept into the churches as dangers and deficiencies fueled by the belief in the minds of individuals they can accept an uninformed self satisfaction.
This form of worship is fertile soil for a spirit of pride to either become a part of the individual or continuously whisper accolades into the ear of the believer causing an acceptance of a quality or state of being prideful, thus appearing as inordinate self esteem, better known as Conceit.
Leading to a justifiable self-respect bolstered by a delight or elation arising from a relationship (supposedly with Jesus Christ).
Offering a proud and disdainful behavior or treatment of others better known as Disdain. Leading to the belief of being the best in the Ecclesia or Assembly. Or an Assembly believing they are above others who should adopt this Assemblies doctrine.
I now understand why our heavenly Father called us back to incorporating the Ten Commandments as a template for our walk. Why, Yeshua cautions not to be deceived.
The Holy Spirit is revealing many are not following his leadership or teachings.
If in a fruitful soil the people abound in sin, God can at once turn a fruitful land into barrenness, and a well-watered country into ashes.
No plans or politics can keep off judgments from a sinful people. He who keeps fire and water from hurting his people, Isaiah 43:2, can make either destroy his enemies; they are never safe.
When God sends destruction on the ungodly, he commands deliverance for the righteous. In bad company we cannot but get either guilt or grief.
Let the sins of others be troubles to us. Yet it is possible for the children of the Lord, living among the most profane, to retain their integrity; there being more power in the grace of Christ, and his dwelling in them, than in the temptations of Satan, or the example of the wicked, with all their terrors or allurements.
In our intentions and inclinations to commit sin, we meet with strange hinderances, if we mark them when we intend mischief, God sends many stops to hinder us, as if to say, Take heed what you do.
His wisdom and power will surely effect the purposes of his love, and the engagements of his truth; while wicked men often escape suffering here, because they are kept to the day of judgment, to be punished with the devil and his angels.
God could do no wrong, however it might appear to men. God will make it appear that he hates sin.
Also, he formed vessels filled with mercy. Sanctification is the preparation of the soul for glory. This is God’s work. Sinners fit themselves for hell, but it is God who prepares saints for heaven; and all whom God designs for heaven hereafter, he fits for heaven now.
Would we know who these vessels of mercy are? Those whom God has called; and these not of the Jews only, but of the Gentiles. Surely there can be no unrighteousness in any of these Divine dispensations.
Nor in God’s exercising long-suffering, patience, and forbearance towards sinners under increasing guilt, before he brings utter destruction upon them. The fault is in the hardened sinner himself.
As to all who love and fear God, however such truths appear beyond their reason to fathom, yet they should keep silence before him. It is the Lord alone who made us to differ; we should adore his pardoning mercy and new-creating grace, and give diligence to make our calling and election sure.
All true Christians are a chosen generation; they make one family, a people distinct from the world: of another spirit, principle, and practice; which they could never be, if they were not chosen in Christ to be such, and sanctified by his Spirit.
Their first state is a state of gross darkness, but they are called out of darkness into a state of joy, pleasure, and prosperity; that they should show forth the praises of the Lord by their profession of his truth, and their good conduct. How vast their obligations to Him who has made them his people, and has shown mercy to them! To be without this mercy is a woeful state, though a man have all worldly enjoyments.
And there is nothing that so kindly works repentance, as right thoughts of the mercy and love of God. Let us not dare to abuse and affront the free grace of God, if we mean to be saved by it; but let all who would be found among those who obtain mercy, walk as his people.
