James 1:20-22 KJV
For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. [21] Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. [22] But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
I was in my mid-forties when I came to grips with my worldly dad’s abuse. He was a regimental Sargeant Major and ran our home as such.
How this occurred was through two actions on my part after I recovered my walk with Yeshua. I realized my anger and spiritual pain were due to that which I had reached back and held in my heart. That bitterness was the doorway for Satan to continue tormenting me. The Holy Spirit encouraged me to remember that when I repented all my sins, I had placed all my sins to be cleansed and removed, and they were at that time removed. What I was experiencing was the enemy quietly reminding me to open the door by holding bitterness in my heart to what my past held for me. Our Lord reminded me that the most powerful word in our language is no.
How that assisted, and this is the second part of my relief. My question to our Lord was how does “no” help me overcome these past pains and fears.
His answer was simple: the first thing I needed to learn, say the word “NO” to me (Robert) and as the answer, I must accept and stand on it. The next step is to recognize the power being spiritually released into my life. Once able to say “NO” and accept I meant it, things began to change. James 1:14-15 KJV
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. [15] Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Now as Satan attempted to remind me of my past, I was able to say “no” to those memories and began rebuking Satan and eliminating his grounds allowing him in my life; as well recognizing, I had to forgive me (Robert) for having allowed Satan to tempt me into despising my abusive dad, thus separating me (Robert) from the real love and compassion of my real Father in heaven.
By holding bitterness in your heart, Satan achieves his goal. Keep in mind his goal to just have you disconnected from the Lord and use the memory of all your hurts to achieve that. Here, the power of “no,” comes into play, by returning the memories, you have an option to say “no,” or accept the memories.
Remember, all the memories are washed away when we receive Salvation and are reborn spiritually as a new person. Satan in returning the memories uses them to stimulate our emotions, to believe, emotionally our Heavenly Father doesn’t care. This link brings forward additional information,
“MY SILENT COMPANION!”
Using the word “NO” rebukes Satan and the memories. However, you must mean and stand firm on “NO”. Keep in mind why Satan brings memories of your past hurts and pain, to separate you from your real Father, who resides in heaven, and genuinely loves you.
If you accept the memories, you are opening a spiritual doorway for Satan and his spiritual minions to torment you. Now two very difficult steps face you and, I speak from experience, the first is forgiving yourself for holding bitterness in your heart, resulting in you standing outside of the first commandment (Matthew 22:37-38) Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment, instead of firmly being in it, thus allowing Satan to achieve his goal, by separating you from Yahweh. James 4:4 All of you adulterers and adulteresses, know all of you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world i s the enemy of God.
The second is accepting a truth, when a man is cruel to others usually his heart is hardened and void of love, as will your’s be if you maintain bitterness and unforgiveness in it.
To finally lift Satan’s oppression you must in love, as the Father in heaven loves you, is asking you to turn all your bitterness, hatred, hurt, anger, and scorn towards your dad to God, and asking for forgiveness for all he had done to you and sanction your forgiveness towards him for all the pain these memories are still inflicting.
In softening your heart and turning these painful memories you will be stacking his wickedness upon his head while being delivered from all the afflictions you are holding over your head.
Brothers and sisters the healing comes by letting go, the healing comes by using God’s love and grace to replace your bitterness, the healing comes by learning about God’s compassion for you and reconnecting with our heavenly Father. In obedience to turn the other cheek and ask our real Father to forgive and be merciful. Know that your dad will fall under
Matthew 18:6 KJV as his judgment. But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
I understand why you want him punished and “he will be”, once you forgive him and turn him over to Yeshua to deal with him, it will not happen until you realize you are still suffering his abuse as long as you continue trying to punish him, and in reality the only one being punished is you.
Time to use the word NO and take control of your life and with the forgiveness, love and real relationship of a caring Father in heaven even though you may not see him physically right now His Son through the Holy Spirit is preparing you to meet His Father physically as a part of your next journey throughout eternity; and the key to that door is forgiveness and a personal relationship with Yeshua. Hebrews12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled; I pray this has helped you understand the links are additional information.

Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
