And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. (2 Timothy 4:18)
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
The Lord, who is the believer’s light, is the strength of his life; not only by whom but in whom he lives and moves. In God, let us strengthen ourselves. The gracious presence of God, his power, his promise, his readiness to hear prayer, the witness of his Spirit in the hearts of his people; these are the secret of his tabernacle, and in these, the saints find cause for that holy security and peace of mind in which they dwell at ease.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father, we place all the heavenly gifts received daily from you Lord through our faith before your throne. Giving praise and thanks for having received them. We recognize the power of recognition without substance as the reward and definition you have Spiritually defined our FAITH. We accept your acknowledgment of our trust without question, our devotion within your Love and healing of our souls through your compassion, and the growth of our understanding through your gift of discernment. We thank you, Father, for the ability to proceed through our lives in peace even when under attack or being tempted. Father, we give praise for all we have received through Spiritually filling us with FAITH. This we pray in the name of Yeshua, Amen and, Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
My spirit is sorrowed and pained. Why is it the Word is set aside? Why is it those who have the light, wanting to share, are persecuted and mocked? Even when I walked in the world without the light of Yeshua, because I cared about others, I was taken advantage of, mocked and in their minds seen as being weak emotionally and physically. So nothing has changed. Except, I now know why I care, and where I am going, who is teaching me, and who I am journeying with and will meet when I get there.
Those in the world who professed to be friends I am finding many are there because they see me as a sucker, to be taken advantage of quickly because I cared and would share. Maybe out of naivety on my part, I could not or would not believe people could be so cruel.
Many times throughout my life, I have been the brunt of financial scams. Many times the brunt of groups professing friendship when, in reality, they were only there to get what I would freely give, hoping it would help. Only to find, those I assisted were mocking me and telling their friends, how easy a mark I was.
As a deeply dedicated believer and follower of Yeshua, I sit today, recognizing nothing has changed in the world except, I am no longer the doormat who they wipe their feet on. I have a ton of spiritual understanding and a desire to share it, but very few want to hear about it. The philosophy I developed in the world, towards those who stole from me, “They needed it more than I did.” Was my carnal rationalization for caring.
Many asked me why I tolerated this lifestyle, knowing many will be in my life but for all the wrong reasons. The answer to that question is quite simple. I state, “Now they need it more than I do?”
Even before I returned to walking with Yeshua, I sensed there was something these individuals were missing. Please understand some of these individuals are very successful and by the standards of the world very highly educated.
Life has one path, but many detour routes to be taken some never get back to the main road I recognize they get trapped by life’s maze. I do not consider myself beyond what Our Lord has revealed as his knowledge. What is in store for multitudes who feel we who have accepted the knowledge of God, the world in its carnal wisdom considers it to be foolishness, and only in their eyes it is foolishness per se, as one must have the spirit of God to receive and interpret it. As I stated earlier, the Word is ignored, millions only pay lip service to it, and miss the undrstanding knowledge and eventual wisdom it brings.
Does this discourage, not at all, you see my earlier philosophy still applies but in a different way, as I say, ” now they need it more than I do.”
It enhances the pain in my heart that so many can not nor will not recognize what is being stolen from them, and the sad fact, they are allowing it to happen. And will laugh and mock at anyone trying to share their knowledge of how they are being robbed blind and the consequences to come.
What comes to mind is the story of the homeless man praying and giving thanks for what he has. And what a way for him to demonstrate no matter how you see him, he is more precious than most.
Wicked men hate goodness, even when they benefit from it. David, in the complaints he makes of his enemies, seems to refer to Yeshua. But our enemies do us real mischief only when they drive us from God and our duty. The true believer’s trouble will be made useful; he will learn to wait for God, and will not seek relief from the world or himself.
The less we notice the unkindness and injuries that are done us, the more we consult the quiet of our own minds. David’s troubles were the chastisement and the consequence of his transgressions, while Yeshua suffered for our sins and ours only.
What right can a sinner have to yield to impatience or anger, when mercifully corrected for his sins? David was very sensible of the present workings of corruption in him. Good men, by setting their sorrow continually before them, have been ready to fall; but by setting God always before them, they have kept their standing.
If we are truly penitent for sin, that will make us patient under affliction. Nothing goes nearer to the heart of a believer when in distress, than to be under the apprehension of God’s deserting him; nor does any thing come more feelingly from his heart than this prayer, “Be not far from me.” The Lord will hasten to help those who trust in him as their salvation.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert.
Faith in God is a sovereign remedy against tormenting fears. Many Believers have God for their strength, who have him not for their song; they walk in darkness: but those who have God for their power ought to make him their song; that is, give him the glory of it and take themselves the comfort of it. This salvation is from the love of God the Father, it comes to us through God the Son, it is applied by the new-creating power of God the Spirit. When this is seen by faith, the trembling sinner learns to hope in God and is delivered from fear. The purifying and sanctifying influences of the Holy Ghost often are denoted under the emblem of springing water.
CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father hear our petitions we place before your throne accept these offerings with pleasure, bless the petitioners through Yeshua. We know you are the God of peace, fully reconciled to believers; reveal the way for peace and reconciliation between You and sinners, We know you love peace on earth, especially in your Assemblies. You are the Author of spiritual peace in the hearts and consciences of your people. Renew your covenant, which has its foundation in the blood of the Son of God! Perfect the saints in every good work as the great thing desired by them, and for them. And that they may at length be fitted for the employment and happiness of heaven. There is no good thing wrought in us, but it is the work of God. And no good idea is wrought in us by God. But through Yeshua, for his sake and by his Spirit. This we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
