ARE YOU BEING WISE OR A FOOL? 

Romans 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.  

OPENING COMMENT by Robert 

How is it, then, there are so many in the brotherhood of Christianity, professing themselves to be wise? Is it because when we read further into the book of Romans 1:23, we see the actions of many who profess to be following Yeshua and living within His teachings? Actually, fooling themselves because they… changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man.  

This brings forward two questions every believer should be considering: What is the image of God I hold? Do I see God as the Deity he truly is or on the same level as me? Am I being obedient or compliant to an image of God I want to follow? One which makes me comfortable instead of obedient? 

As God’s Watchman I have shown the Holy Spirit has passed our Heavenly Father’s message that all of his children should be living by, in, and with their faith only. They should not be holding onto the thoughts the world can and will provide them with answers to the maladies of life being experienced whether a pandemic or just the daily trials of life itself.  

The question then if I am not presently living in and by faith only as the Holy Spirit has revealed. Then, am I being obedient to the Father or am I following what, in my mind, I believe to be right for me?  

Have I then drawn God down to my level so I can continue walking in the image I perceive God to be? I profess to be obedient and walking under the mercies of God presenting my body as a living sacrifice to Him. Believing I receive from Him the fruits of His mercy.  

I should then recognize my actions would be to render myself with all I am, all I have, all I can do. In doing this I would understand what the return would be. That it would be acceptable to God as a reasonable service, which I am able and ready to give the reason for, which we understand.

Conversion and sanctification are the renewing of the mind, a change, not of the substance, but of the qualities of the soul.  

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert 

 The thought, here, if we are sincere about our commitment then the progress of our sanctification would be actively dying to sin more and more and living to righteousness more and more. Which would be carrying on, the renewing work until it is perfected in glory. Acknowledging, the great enemy to this renewal is conformity to the world in any form.  

This conformity would come by forming plans for happiness, as though it lay in the things of the world which soon pass away. It is revealed here as believing in your mind it is right to walk in the customs of those who walk in the lusts of the flesh, and mind earthly things. We have been warned of Satan’s crafty forms of temptations the one many fall into is worrying what image those in the world will see.  

The work of the Holy Spirit begins with understanding and is carried on to the will, affections and conversation, till there is a change of the whole man into the likeness of God in knowledge, righteousness and true holiness.  

At his point, the question then would be if the Holy Spirit brings a message from God to begin living in, with and by Faith only. Why would there be a problem obeying and letting go of the dependency on worldly attributes?  

Would not those living by faith show their love to be sincere free of deceit, and unmeaning deceitful compliments towards the brethren and our Lord? Would there not be dependence on divine grace, detesting and dreading all forms of evil, but having love and delight in whatever is kind and useful.   

In obedience, we must not only do good but cleave to it. All our duty to the Lord and towards one another is summed up in one word, Love. This brings us to the knowledge and wisdom of understanding what the Father means by living in, with. and by Faith.  

Our love to God and man must be with zeal for the gospel, making the wise believer, diligent in all his worldly endeavours, by gaining superior skills in walking, with, by and living only in faith without being attached to the amenities of the world.  

Gaining the knowledge to recognize our Father in heaven as the Deity he is. Not what we want him to be, in our minds, believing Him to be drawn down to our level, so we can plan our happiness according to those walking in the wisdom of the world as fools.  

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert 

 Father in heaven as we kneel before thy throne, hear our sincere prayers of deep gratitude for all the mercies you are bestowing on our lives daily. Hear our heartfelt appreciation for your patience and in that patience blessing us with your grace and Salvation. As well as affording us the opportunity to right our lives and develop a deep relationship with your Son Yeshua learning through the Holy Spirit, how to draw closer to Him and you Father.

We acknowledge, Lord. our continued work is required for our relationship to deepen and bring forward greater discernment and understanding of your heavenly blessings, being offered through your continued Mercies.

Thank you, Father, for all those tender mercies, Deep Love and compassion you show for us and the world. This we pray in Yeshua’s name Amen and Amen. 

Blessings brothers and sisters may you all walk in the light which has been shared with you, comforts you, and lights the narrow path so hard to find and maintain.
