Proverbs 10:27 KJVS
The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
Those that draw near to God in a way of duty shall find God drawing near to you in a way of mercy. Draw near to Him in faith, and trust, and obedience, and he will draw near to you for your deliverance.
If there is not a close communion between God and you, it is your fault, and not his. He shall lift up the humble.
Thus much our Lord himself declared, He that shall humble himself shall be exalted, Matthew 23:12.
If we are truly penitent and humble under the marks of God’s displeasure, we shall in a little time know the advantages of his favour he will lift us up out of trouble, or he will lift us up in our spirits and comforts under trouble he will lift us up to honour and safety in the world, or he will lift us up in our way to heaven, so as to raise our hearts and affections above the world.
God will revive the spirit of the humble (Isaiah 57:15), He will hear the desire of the humble (Psalms 10:17), and he will at last lift us up to glory.
Before honour is humility. The highest honour in heaven will be the reward of the greatest humility on earth.
A prayer for those in the fray. Heavenly Father, we ask for your compassion to continue with us over a long period. Within your mercies, Lord, we pray. You will minister profound courage and knowledgeable passion for supporting our determination to complete our mission of sharing your love and forgiveness in your name. Fill our words with the resonating sound of heavenly trumpets praising you, Father, so those within the darkness will hear and turn. This, we pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
