“That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10
PRE-AMBLE by Robert
The following is taken from the release “HARKEN TO GOD’S WARNING’S” Published Jan. 25, 2020. “Someone related, people really don’t want the complete truth in their lives. So why are you presenting what they are not wanting?”
Being in prayer and meditation, lead me, to this recognition. “If the whole truth frightens you or offends you in any way, perhaps, you need to stop fooling yourself that half-truths are going to keep you on the narrow path to eternal peace and life. Best you stop and reflect, to observe where you are positioned in your walk.” My closing question for all who have read “Saplings and Twigs”. “Are you a fruitful branch or Twig?
This opening is in answer to that closing question in the recently published article “Saplings and Twigs” Jan. 26, 2020. In the article, it is shown who both are connected to. It reveals how those who are fruitful, gain their sustenance and knowledge and leading from as Sap, through their connection to the root.
This release breaks down what the Sap brings to those who start out as Saplings and grow into Branches. It reveals how our Lord nurtures and develops the Assembly and those who are connected to the root and what pruning brings forward. It exposes how believers are supported, and strengthened, by the Assembly even from a distance.
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father we have heard your call to be with you before your throne. We pray Lord, for your wisdom and discernment, to be with us, so we might know your will. Loose unto us through the Holy Spirit all those secret gifts you hold for those saints worthy of there actions and depth of knowledge. Bring us into your pool of knowledge about our enemy, so we may approach his minions, their deceptions and lies, knowing it is our shield and buckler. Polish us to be a finely honed two-edged sword, that we would use it skillfully and articulately to free those bound and held captive. Know Father, we go into these battles as dedicated and devoted soldiers, filled with your words and guidance, ready to sacrifice all for your deluded and lost children. As we love you and them with all our heart, soul, and mind. Re-enforce our fervour, deepen our faith, cover our grace, with your love and compassion, cover us with your wings as we move forward into the deepest and darkest part of the “Den of Wolves”. Fill our reservoirs with your oil that our lanterns burn continuously and brightly lighting our path before us. We pray this in your name Yeshua. Amen and Amen.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
The apostle, Paul proceeds to pray for them. He heard that the Colossians were good, and he prayed, that they might be better. He was constant in this prayer: We do not cease to pray for you. It may be he could hear of them but seldom, but he constantly prayed for them. As part of the Assembly no matter the distance we can be of support to all believers who are a part of the root being nurtured by its SAP.
Paul’s, desire that you may be filled with the knowledge, and what it is that Paul begs of God for them, but as well, those in the future, who are connected to the root. That you might be knowing intelligent Believers: filled with the knowledge of God’s will, in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
1. The knowledge of our duty is the best knowledge. A mere empty notion of the greatest truths is insignificant. Our knowledge of the will of God must be always practical: we must know it, in order to do it.
2. Our knowledge is then a blessing indeed, when it is in wisdom when we know how to apply our general knowledge to our particular occasions, and to suit it to all emergencies.
3. Christians should endeavour to be filled with knowledge not only to know the will of God, but to know more of it, and to increase in the knowledge of God (as it is Colossians 1:10), and to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour, (2 Peter 3:18).
Our understanding is then a spiritual understanding when we exemplify it in our way of living: That you may walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing (Colossians 1:10), that is, as becomes the relation we stand into him and the profession we make of him. The agreeableness of our conversation to our spirituality is pleasing to God as well as to good men.
We walk unto all well-pleasing when we walk in all things according to the will of God. Being fruitful in every good work. This is what we should aim at. Good words will not do without good works. We must abound in good works, and in every good work: not in some only, which are more easy, and suitable, and safe, but in all, and every instance of them.
There must be regular uniform regard to all the will of God. And the more fruitful we are in good works the more we shall increase in the knowledge of God. He who doeth his will shall know of the doctrine whether it be of God, (John 7:17). This is the purging done to allow for an increase, in the knowledge of God.
CLOSING STATEMENT by Robert
Our Lord through His teachings has brought us to the same knowledge as the Disciples of His day. As we walk in Salvation, it becomes apparent we are known as Yeshua’s modern-day disciples through two words found in all the Scriptures, “follow me”.
Our glory in being fruitful comes through our willingness to share the one truth many refute, but we who walk with the Holy Spirit, know is the truth, (John 6:65) “And he said, “Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it, were given unto him of my Father.” John 15:16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.”
Their election, to their apostleship (John 6:70): I have chosen you twelve. It did not begin on their side: You have not chosen me, but I first chose you. Why were they admitted to such an intimacy with him, employed in such an embassy for him, and endued with such power from on high?
It was not owing to their wisdom and goodness in choosing him for their Master, but to his favour and grace in choosing them for his disciples. It is fit that Yeshua should have the choosing of his own ministers, still, he does it by his providence and Spirit.
Though ministers make that holy calling their own choice, Yeshua’s choice is prior to theirs and directs and determines it. Of all that are chosen to grace and glory it may be said, They have not chosen Yeshua, but he had chosen them, Deuteronomy 7:7,8.
We have no reason to distrust the goodness of God, and surely we have no reason to question his power (2 Corinthians 9:8). He is able to make all grace abound towards us, and abound in us; to give a large increase of spiritual and temporal good things.
He can cause us to have a sufficiency in all things, to be content with what we have, to make up what we give, to be able to give yet more: as it is written (Psalms 112:9) concerning the charitable man, He hath dispersed abroad. He hath given to the poor. His righteousness, that is, his almsgiving, endureth forever. The honour of it is lasting, the reward of it eternal, and he is still able to live comfortably himself and to give liberally to others.
The perfection of the saints in every good work is the great thing desired by them and for them, that they may here have a perfection of integrity, a clear mind, a clean heart, lively affections, regular and resolved wills, and suitable strength for every good work to which they are called now, and at length a perfection of degrees to fit them for the employment and felicity of heaven.
CLOSING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father I lay before your Throne the gratefulness of those who have prospered from your selection and teachings. I ask Father at this time for your blessings upon them and further strengthen their resolve, to bring their bodies into continued submission. I lay an additional plea before your throne, Lord, for your wisdom to flow over them Father bringing a deeper recognition, discernment, and understanding, of the journey ahead, as we follow your Son Yeshua’s footsteps. I pray in the name of Yeshua Amen and Amen.
This picture represents the storm our stand and walks we see on our horizons, but we know as God’s Watchman sounding the “Trumpet”, Yeshua is right next to us as a comforter but as well the light which defeats darkness. Hebrews 13:6 “So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.” Blessings to all and may you be filled with Yeshua’s peace and strength.
Robert.
