PRE-AMBLE by Robert
I must say writing this article has been an adventure and challenge as I was producing the contents, they twice, just disappeared from these pages vanished poof gone nada nothing. This version is the third time I have entered it for publication.
So down to the nitty gritty; in the article, the Holy Spirit will be leading us to a junction at which point we will be asked to make a choice which is going to have a profound effect on our walk and the depth of our faith.
Our readings have brought an understanding of where we desire to be when Eternity is reached spiritually and how we will get there following the narrow path which few will find and travel.
It has given a new meaning to “Working out our Salvation daily.” We have been shown who and what we are always at war with and how precious and powerful our Faith is. Matthew 17:19 – 20 Then came the disciples to Yeshua apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? v20. And Yeshua said unto them, because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
I read these verses to my wife (Bunnie Marie) her comment resounded in my spirit “Shows just how shallow our faith really is.”
For me, it showed just how precious our faith really is, and we should never under any circumstance take it for granted as I’m sure many do “sadly.”
OPENING PRAYER by Robert
Heavenly Father I want to thank you for showing us the real depth of our faith. I petition you Father for wisdom to be upon all those reading this article deepen their discernment and understanding. Bring unto them a spirit of calm that any decision they are about to make in respect to their spiritual walk with you Lord would be an informed one void of emotions and worldly desires. I ask Lord that you would guardedly open their minds to receive all and any information the Holy Spirit will reveal to be used as the foundation of their future decisions. I pray this in your name in the name of Yeshua AMEN and AMEN.
OPENING STATEMENT by Robert
You know once again I heard from the world on the theme of “Don’t Worry” God will be there for you no matter what you do, he loves you and will be there to protect you all the time don’t worry he doesn’t put conditions on his love. This was coming from an earthly ministry, and I’m sort of understanding part of what they are preaching is correct. However, I believe are missing the “work out your Salvation daily” part. And perhaps “capture all thoughts,” be knowledgeable of God’s laws, as well God is a chaste God that we should fear His anger and not take Him for granted and many more precepts which arm and protect us as we journey to Eternity. Yes God is there always for us as long as we are walking in His light remembering He cannot have enmity before Him. This brings to mind the Lords opening statement in this article v20. And Yeshua said unto them, because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say uďnto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
In keeping with my opening prayer calling for God’s wisdom to be with us.
The Holy Spirit brought this to me Luke 12:22-40 Matthew Henry (1662 – 1774) shares these thoughts. Our Lord Yeshua is here inculcating some needful useful lessons upon his disciples, which he had before taught them. And had occasion afterward to press upon them for the need to have precept upon precept, and, line upon line.
“Therefore, because there are so many that are ruined by covetousness and an inordinate affection to the wealth of this world, I say unto you, my disciples, take heed of it.”
“Thou, O man of God, flee these things, as well as thou, O man of the world (1Timothy 6:11 But thou O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness).
In asking for greater discernment to aid us in making a decision once we reach the junction the Holy Spirit is leading us to. I believe we are given more information which Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) continues (in Luke 12:22-40) sharing in his commentary “Our cares are fruitless, vain and insignificant, and therefore it is folly to indulge them. They will not gain us our wishes, and therefore ought not to hinder our repose (Luke 12:25) “Which of you by taking thought can add to his stature one cubit, or one inch, can add to his age one year or one hour?” “Now if ye be not able to do that which is least. If it is not in your power to alter your statures, why should you perplex yourselves about other things, which are as much out of your power, and about which it is necessary that we refer ourselves to the providence of God?” Note, as in our stature, so in our state, it is wisdom to take it as it is and make the best of it for fretting and vexing, carping and caring, will not mend it.
In Praying for the Lord to Guardedly open our minds to receiving His Mysteries of heaven. The Holy Spirit brought this Scripture, James 1:19 -25 Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) gives a fair rendition while keeping in mind we are gathering information to utilize when we reach our junction the Holy Spirit is leading us to. V19. To restrain the workings of passion. This lesson we should learn under afflictions and this we shall learn if we are indeed begotten again by the word of truth. For thus the connection stands–An angry and hasty spirit is soon provoked to evil things by afflictions and errors. And ill opinions become prevalent through the workings of our own vile and vain affections. But the renewing grace of God and the word of the gospel teach us to subdue these. Wherefore my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, (James 1:19). This may refer, to the word of truth spoken of in (James 1:18 Of His own will begat us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures).
And so we may observe, it is our duty rather to hear God’s word and apply our minds to understand it, than to speak according to our own fancies or the opinions of men, and to run into heat and passion thereupon. Let not such errors as that of God’s being the occasion of men’s sin ever be hastily, much less angrily, mentioned by you (and so as to other errors) but be ready to hear and consider what God’s word teaches in all such cases.
To build anything you not only need sound information but information based on truth which in prayer I asked the Lord to provide a foundation for us to build on with all of His truth being offered by the Holy Spirit who took me to. 2Cor. 10:1-6 where Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) reveals in a commentary the real foundation of our walk, who our enemy is and the war we are involved in. “The work of the ministry is a warfare, not after the flesh indeed, for it is a spiritual warfare, with spiritual enemies and for spiritual purposes. And though ministers walk in the flesh, or live in the body, and in the everyday affairs of life act like other men. Yet in their work and warfare they must not go by the maxims of the flesh, nor should they design to please the flesh: this must be crucified with its affections and lusts.
It must be mortified and kept under. The doctrines of the gospel and discipline of the church are the weapons of this warfare.
And these are not carnal: outward force, therefore, is not the method of the gospel, but strong persuasions, by the power of truth and the meekness of wisdom.
A good argument this is against persecution for conscience’ sake. Conscience is accountable to God only; and people must be persuaded to God and their duty, not driven by force of arms. And so the weapons of our warfare are mighty, or very powerful.
The evidence of truth is convincing and cogent. This indeed is through God or owing to him because they are his institutions. And accompanied with His blessing, which makes all opposition to fall before his victorious gospel.
We may here observe, [1] What opposition is made against the gospel by the powers of sin and Satan in the hearts of men. Ignorance, prejudices, beloved lusts, are Satan’s strong-holds in the souls of some. Vain imaginations, carnal reasonings, and high thoughts, or proud conceits, in others, exalt themselves against the knowledge of God, that is by these ways the devil endeavors to keep men from faith and obedience to the gospel, secures his possession of the hearts of men, as his own house or property. But then observe [2] The conquest which the word of God gains. These strong-holds are pulled down by the gospel as the means, through the grace and power of God accompanying it as the principal efficient cause. Note, the conversion of the soul is the conquest of Satan in the soul.
THE JUNCTION: Now having gathered this information about ministering as a “Disciple” and knowing what is involved walking as a “Fisher of Men” both are being presented as options to become a part of our walk to Eternity. There is no right answer or choice. Your choice is between you and Yeshua and must be done using all the information, prayer, meditation, fasting possible, there is no timeline for an answer. What we are being asked for is a faith-driven choice of how we believe God has called us to serve Him in these troubled times. This information is being supplied for those reading the articles to know as the world grows darker we will see more evil entering the world. This is new evil with more profound temptations, and stories which will attack believers fervently to cause Apostasy a falling away. A giving up because some are not fully committed or just do not understand how to endure. So with all, you have gathered use it to strengthen your commitment, firm up your position get ready for the next onslaught of temptations. CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert
Here we are at the conclusion of this article. My closing comments contain additional information about APOSTASY and the fate for those who do not choose wisely or prepare themselves adequately for the oncoming battles. Remember the more profound our walk and faith commitment the more fervent and cunningly Satan is going to attack you. This is a Spiritual War which is intensifying due to less and less Spiritually grounded soldiers adequately equipped to do battle. I believe Yeshua is building an army for what is coming as well as strengthening those who follow for the dark days ahead. The Holy Spirit brought this information from Hebrew 12:
Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) brings this warning to all Followers of Yeshua about Apostasy The Father of our spirits never grieves willingly, nor afflicts the children of men, much less his own children. It is always for our profit, and the advantage he intends us thereby is no less than our being paqrtakers of his holiness it is to correct and cure those sinful disorders which make us unlike to God, and to improve and to increase those graces which are the image of God in us. That we may be and act more like our heavenly Father. God loves his children so that he would have them to be as like himself as can be and for this end, he chastises them when they need it.
Followers need to understand that the attacks from Satan will be both spiritual and physical with a fervency attached designed to wear you down and cause Apostacy. Please understand Apostacy is something no follower wants to experience. Recognize the Lord is giving us a heads up but as well letting us know He no matter what is going to be there for us and will only allow what he knows we can deal with. This is a high attainment, but it is what Yeshua has called his people to. Sufferings are apt to sour the spirit and sharpen the passions, but the children of God must follow peace with all men. There may be prudence and wise forbearance, and a show of friendship and good-will to all but this true Christian peaceableness is never found separate from holiness. We must not, under the pretense of living peaceably with all men, leave the ways of holiness. Without holiness, no man shall see the Lord. The vision of God our Saviour in heaven is reserved as the reward of holiness, and the stress of our salvation is laid upon our holiness, though a placid peaceable disposition contributes much to our meetness for heaven. Where afflictions and sufferings for the sake of Yeshua are not considered by men as the chastisement of their heavenly Father and improved as such, they will be a dangerous snare and temptation to apostasy, which every follower should most carefully watch against (Hebrews 12:15-16).
Matthew Henry (1662 -1774) highlights the seriousness of apostasy ‘The Apostle enters a severe caveat against apostasy Heb 12:15 The nature of apostasy. It is failing of the grace of God it is to become bankrupt in religion, for want of a good foundation, and suitable care and diligence. It is failing of the grace of God, coming short of a principle of pure grace in the soul, notwithstanding the means of grace and a profession of religion, and so coming short of the love and favor of God here and hereafter. The consequences of apostasy: where persons fail of having the true grace of God, a root of bitterness will spring up, corruption will prevail and break forth. A root of bitterness a root producing bitter fruits to themselves and others. It provides to themselves corrupt principles, which lead to apostasy and are considerably strengthened and radicated by apostasy–damnable errors (to the corrupting of the doctrine and worship of the Christian Church) and corrupt practices. Apostates generally grow worse and worse and fall into the grossest wickedness, which usually ends either in downright atheism or in despair.
In these words, there is a great warning to all who follow at whatever level you believe at be sure you know your spirit is being fed properly. I pray this article has been assistance to those reading it.
