“DISTRACTIONS LEADING TO SEED PLANTING!”

“If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled, notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body, what doth it profit.” James 2:15-16 

PRE-AMBLE by Robert

Have you ever come across someone asking for a handout. So, here you are faced with doing what we have been called to do, look after those in need. Then this thought comes to mind if you give them money they may use it for drugs or alcohol.

This thought is a distraction to draw you away from the fact this person is in need. We do not know the circumstances nor is it our business, to know. Now once the enemy has your attention they will move to the next step fill your thought process with lies based on appearance. Drawing you further away from what our Lord has called us to do. Luke 16: 25 “But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.” Look for the whole lesson and the result of disobedience in Luke 16:19 -31.

OPENING PRAYER by Robert

“Heavenly Father, I pray you will awaken the spirits in your children to receive and discern your truths. Please, remember these articles are written by a humble servant of our Lord. I pray that all will find answers in them and they will assist in your journey on the narrow path to eternity and life. Blessings to all who go forward in peace sharing the Love Yeshua has blessed us with, may your lanterns shine long and bright in all parts of your journey in this life. God be with you all in your choices and decisions about your walk with your Lantern. God Bless and keep you safe on your lighted path. 

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

There will be further thoughts “but the lost are not of the flock so it’s not your responsibility.” This is a further distraction to prevent you from tending to God’s strays from the flock. We just learned part of our journey is being a seed planter. Which when looked at from a spiritual perspective, it is a part of our calling.

Does feed the flock mean those who are walking in the light only? Those thoughts are further distractions. This is our position Mark 10:44-45 KJV
“And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be a servant of all. For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” 

When we recognize Satan’s minions distracting us know there is something important the Holy Spirit has for us to receive, discern and accept as a lesson about who makes up our Fathers flock. “Be not forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.” Hebrews 13:2. We must like Yeshua, look for that one lost stray, to bring them back into God’s light. 

CLOSING PRAYER by Robert

“Father in heaven hear our petitions, for your knowledge, strength, and discernment to demonstrate your love and compassion. Bring us your understanding and wisdom that when we please you, Father, you will bring peace into our lives even from our enemies. Show us the way to walk in your light that we might reflect our sacrifices so those in the darkness will see your glory and gentleness towards us as we go through our journey to everlasting life and peace. Give us the fervor to be living examples of how your blessings bring us through all turmoil silently but showing courage and endurance in your name. Allow us to share the knowledge of your presence, calming and uplifting us, through life’s turmoils, as lessons bringing us to more significant achievements in your name. Allow our walk and demonstrations to prove your deity as the Son of God. This we pray in your name Yeshua, Amen and Amen.”

CLOSING COMMENTS by Robert

“When I’m approached to give, I let them know I do not give money.” But then ask when their last meal was? I always try to buy them a meal and sit and chat; as we dine together most are overwhelmed that a stranger will buy a meal and then sit with them.

To me this is part of seed planting, demonstrating someone cares. And during our conversation, further plant seeds according to the Holy Spirits lead remember the Lord said he would give us the words to speak. I pray you didn’t think he meant only when you’re in trouble? 

This is why Satan goes to so much trouble to distract the Lord’s disciples and servants. When you recognize you’re being distracted, go to your prayer closet lay the incident before the throne of God. The deceptions will be revealed and answers provided, but you must then be calm to hear the Holy Spirits leading while meditating, a moment of spiritual silence.
