It had to do with my work ethic. “He clearly stated when collecting my remuneration from an employer, I should never be ashamed to receive my wages. His suggestion was when you work, or contract, your daily effort should be to the maximum effort available to you.

My Dad embellished, how important it was to build a reputation, and the effort required maintaining a said reputation as well the work ethic which goes hand in hand.

OPENING STATEMENT by Robert

Why, am I talking about reputation and work ethics? How does thi97508e257c7eea9aec8ed30eaa05d89f3563963924950639746.jpgs relate to working out our salvation? I think I mentioned this before, “how you practice, Is a reflection of the effort you will then perform at, throughout your walk”!

There are many levels of performance available to us while we are just passing through this life. The one choice we make when it comes to working out our Salvation is so essential, not so much in this life, but so very important in the next.

I was drawn to James 2:12, “Some give this explanation, that as they flattered themselves too much, they are summoned to the right tribunal. For men absolve themselves according to their own notions because they withdraw themselves from the judgment of the divine law.” James then reminds them all deeds and words are there to be accounted for because God will judge the world according to his law.da9a5065fa0e98182a7dd3abe82425d57892726517769186002.jpg

So how would reputation and work effort apply here as we do not live under the law but under Grace? If we use our two attributes “Reputation and Work Ethic,” to research further, we will find; James further explaining his statement. ” Except you wish to undergo the rigor of the law, you must be less rigid towards your neighbors. For the law of liberty is the same as the mercy of God, which delivers us from the curse of the law.” Hence the judgment of the law in itself is condemnation to eternal death. But James means by the word “LIBERTY,” so we are freed from the rigor of the law. What I see here is to give “our all” in working out our Salvation.

We would find as James put it, “Since none of us can stand before God, except we MOUNTAIN SCENE 003are delivered and freed from the strict rigor of the law, we ought so to act, that we may not through too much severity exclude the indulgence or mercy of God, of which we all have need to the last.”

So, as my Dad related in developing a reputation, “I would be honing my skills to demonstrate to those passing through my life what it takes to live under Grace while exercising God’s given liberty to do so.” While using my strong “Work Ethics” to plant the mustard seeds for later harvesting.

Know there is a vast amount which needs to be worked out in our walk. Yes, our sins were forgiven and the slate cleaned of past sins. Now, it is our responsibility as newborns to work at keeping that slate as clean as possible. If you recall Yeshua reminds us when He heals, “Go and sin no more.”
